Frequently Asked Questions

YesorNoLive.com (or YESorNolive or YESorNo) is a news prediction portal. Predictions made by registered users anticipate the outcomes of news stories in subject areas such as Entertainment & Lifestyle , Sports, Politics, Business & Economy and General topics. In other words, a registered user predicts YES or NO on the outcome (in the near future) of a specific event and could either win or lose on the side of such prediction, based on eventual outcome of a news story. Essentially, therefore, all games or events on yesornolive.com are based on media/news reports. All games or events have been ‘pulled’ from the News. .

All predictions at YesorNoLive.COM are ‘winner-takes-all’ games. This means you either WIN or LOSE. Simplicity, Transparency and Trust remain the foundational principles on which YesOrNoLive was established. Predictors can see how many other players have participated in an event and how much is in the pot for sharing, based on total number of stakes.
Yes, anybody who has reached the age of 18 years and above can predict on YesorNoLive.COM. First off, an intending user must sign upsign up and update their profile and account details in Account Settings. Afterwards, they can make either YES or NO predictions on any event across the five categories on the site.
The question is in the title or headline. It may be a declarative statement (e.g ‘BUDGET Presentation: Education will get a bigger allocation than Health’), in which case you are expected to choose YES or NO. Sometimes, though, it may come in the form of a question (such as ‘ATLETICO MADRID VS QARABAG FK: Will Qarabag score at least a goal?’). Third, you should read content underneath the headline, in order to be properly guided in your choice of YES or NO. You may also click on any or all of the external links under ‘More Information’, to help determine your choice. Fourth, you need to type the amount you wish to stake and then, click on either YES or NO (depending on which side you choose). Lastly, click the PLAY button to finalize your prediction. A message comes up to let you know your prediction has been successfully made. This message is the confirmation that you have finalized all necessary steps to making your prediction. If this message does not display, then you have NOT finalized your prediction and may need to refresh the page and start all over.
While each event has a deadline (or end date) for predictions to end, this does not mean the outcome of that event or prediction will be known on that day. The date mentioned on the event only serves to let predictors know when the doors are closed for predictions on that event.
Usually, the eventual outcome of a predicted event is based on its outcome as published or broadcast by the mass media. Outcomes are always available in the public domain and immediately they are made available, our validators ensure such outcomes are also decided at YesOrNoLive. In the real sense, outcomes are not determined by the operators of YesOrNoLive, who only validate such outcomes. Outcomes are determined in the public domain. See our Terms of Use, to learn more.
Yes, an event may be cancelled. If the outcome of an event which has been published and is open for prediction on YesOrNoLive is eventually postponed or the event is deemed to not take place as previously planned, due to publishing errors, or circumstances, or the action or inaction of (one, some, or all of) the key public players involved, or legal action or force majeure, the event may be cancelled on YesOrNoLive.com and the stakes (“amount which predictors have paid to back their positions of YES or NO”) of users are refunded into the users’ wallets. Users are notified of the cancellation. For more details, see the Terms of Use.
Winners get paid into their wallets within 24 to 48 hours after outcomes have been decided. Winners and losers get notified of their status, after the outcome of each prediction has been decided at YesOrNoLive.com (based on publicly available and trusted information).

Yes, YesOrNoLive.com has two types of jackpot. First is the Daily Jackpot which features one QUESTION OF THE DAY. Predictors stake a minimum of 25 Naira on a YES or NO position and can stake as many entries as possible (on either or both YES or NO positions), to increase their chances of winning. Three winners are selected by raffle, everyday, for a total prize of 25,000 naira (10,000 x 1 person AND 5,000 naira x 3 persons). Second is the Weekly Jackpot. The Weekly Jackpot is based on a points system and everybody is qualified to participate, if they have accumulated 20 points during the week. Points can be earned, if a user updates their profile; makes a prediction during that week (whether the prediction is right or wrong); refers someone who registers as a new user on the site; someone they referred has made a prediction. Eleven (11) winners are selected at random for the Weekly Jackpot. While one (1) winner goes home with 50% of total winnings for that week, ten others share the remaining 50%. Total jackpot cash shareable per week varies and is a percentage of total amount staked by all predictors during the week.
Daily Jackpot and Weekly Jackpot winners are selected at random, through aggregated computation (similar to raffle methods), by YesOrNoLive’s software. The first step to entering into the Daily Jackpot is predicting the right answers, after staking 25 naira for 1 position (users may stake as many positions as they like). To participate in the Weekly Jackpot, users must have accumulated 20 points during the week. Winners are announced on Jackpot pages, social media, etc..
Jackpot winnings are credited into winners’ wallets at the end of each round.
To qualify for the week’s jackpot, a user must have accumulated at least 20 points, during that week. The following points are awarded to qualified users:
-Make one prediction during the week = 5 points
-Refer a friend who signs up = 1 point
-Referral (the person referred by an existing user) makes a prediction = 1 point Users who have qualified for Weekly Jackpot are automatically enrolled, once they have accumulated 20 points during the week.
Points accumulated over time and during the week are displayed differently on the dashboard
To know how many points you have earned over time, take a look at GAME POINTS ACCUMULATED on your dashboard.
